1-800-MOVING-PAWS for extra help when you need it the most!

In the midst of packing this morning out of the corner of my eye I caught this lovely view of Tigger, taking a break from his packing duties... even though he is paid by the hour I assume he is entitled to a break now and then. Alittle cat nap to go with his cat nip.

Last night I heard a russel, saw a slight movement in the hallway. I didn't think anything of it really, probably just the cats as usual. They are hired movers right now, packing away. 1-800-MOVING-PAWS at your convenience, any time, any day... I bent down to move a box that had fallen at an odd angle..."my it's quite heavy", I thought out loud to myself. Practically loading drawers full of smelly nuggets, I reveal this lumpy striped, lazy piece of crap...

NO CAT NIP FOR HIM TONIGHT! NOR NO WET FOOD, TREATS, or EXTRA ATTENTION! SLACKER!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

I just wanted to express my thanks... and my sorrow... poor poor pitifull me. That's right. Lil' ol me all by my lonesome, come on now, feel bad for me. All by myself on thanksgiving. Just like that time when I was all alone on Christmas a few years back. My roomates were gone to off to a family member's, friends were gone away, no boyfriend at the time... just work to go to. This year for Thanksgiving my beloved boyfriend is in Kelowna, my friends are all up island or on the mainland, and my parents are in Ontario; and I have no family on the island. I wasn't even scheduled to work until the last moment. I didn't even get a stinkin' turkey, (or ham), dinner... although I did eat some of the cats' canned turkey chunks it was quite tastey I really recommend it; I believe it was "Medi-Cal Turkey Feast"...ha. I also enjoyed left over turkey in todays Turkey vegetable soup at work. So I have had my fill of turkey, I feel like I'm coming one with the turkeys actually...gobble gobble...

Okanagan Bound Gal Now and a Negatory 55!

Howdy Dudey to all of my 1 or 2 fans. I too have neglected my blog, like my friend Cher. Just recently she had posted after months and months of not blogging and it encouraged me to blog again. I mean seriously, why not. I have nothing else to do at this moment in time. My boyfriend is in Kelowna (1.5 hr ferry ride plus another 5.5 hr drive from the ferry).

He's commuting from there to work (45 mins twice/day) to Vernon until the end of October which then he'll come back to Victoria and help with the big move. We're moving to Vernon BC! The Okanagan, famous for it's home grown delicious peaches and cherries - which I have yet to taste, but I'm sure this is soon to be tried and tested... by my very own mouth, teeth and tongue! Yum! I'm very very sad to leave Vancouver Island, it is so beautiful here. It truly is the best place on earth to live. We have the mildest weather, it's gorgeous landscapes, breathtaking Oceanside... I could go on and on... I'll miss my friends so much. Really I'm only a cheap flight home to visit now and then. The Okanagan too is beautiful with mountains and large sandy lakes (without the raw sewage thankyou very much - unlike Victoria's system...we can actually swim in this water!!!) These lovely photos are of Vernon (above), Okanagan Lake at sunset (left) and the above & rigth, I'm not sure what lake it was but it was taken at Cousins Bay - wherever that is located lol - I got these off the web lol. Nice pics though. And the bottom Right is the beautiful Kalmalka Lake, beach. This lake's water is blue/green from above. Hard to tell in this photo. Sandy bottom, and once again - no raw sewage! wahoo!

Literally on a lighter note, since March 2006, (that's right of this year), I've lost 55 lbs (fifty five pounds)! I've gone down 5 belt holes, and had to make another hole in the belt! Yes I could've bought a new belt, but I'd prefer to keep poking holes in this one to see how far I've come over the months and over time I'll eventually see all my accomplishments.
Feb 2006 (55 lbs ago!)

Oneday I will have to get a new belt. I've bought new pants after the 30 lb mark that are too big, or getting too big now, and it's not fair because I've hardly worn them, really. I almost feel jipped. Yet I feel great! Finally I no longer have to shop in the "plus size" section - not that there's anything wrong with that! But for me, that alone was a great accomplishment. It's been years, since I could fit into a ladies size "LARGE"...and now I do, and I'm only shrinking more!

Aug/Sept 2006 (40 lb loss!)

I'll continue to keep blogging once I move to Vernon, so my few friends/fans can remember the one that left them behind for the snowy winters! Which by the way, I am so looking forward to!
